Adult Education Ministries
The High Priority of Learning
Our church places a high priority on educating our flock in the scriptures and training them in living out the Gospel. Our primary program in educating our folks are the Sunday morning classes but we also have small groups, special training events and discipleship programs. We also encourage people to check out our booktable (located across from the Welcome Center in the Christian Education Building lobby). Audio and video tapes are available for checkout in Dave Bindewald's office. For a wider range of books, check out the church library or Watershed Books. If you have any CE questions or comments, contact our associate pastor, Dave Bindewald.
Sunday Morning Classes
We have organized our Sunday Morning Classes according to the various shepherding communities at LPC. To better care for our folks, we have grouped the congregation into small communities according to age and stage of life. The subject of classes taught at the Sunday morning class run through the values we hold to at LPC as well study of books of the Bible. For more information about shepherding communities and the classes offered through them this quarter, click here to get to the Shepherding Communities page.
Wednesday Evening Programs
On Wednesday evenings, in addition to having a fellowship supper, LPC has many adult education programs for men and women. To learn more about Wednesday nights, click here.
Discipleship & Small Groups
Some great things come in small packages. Growing in spiritual maturity and in deeper relationship with others is often like that: it happens best in small groups. Recognizing that reality, LPC has developed the Connect Ministry; a network of small groups through which we do our best to shepherd our folks. To learn more about the Connect Ministry, click here.
LPC also has a number of discipleship groups that are sponsored by our men's ministry (Men of the Covenant or MOC) and the our women's ministry (Women in the Church or WIC). To learn more about the men's groups, click here. To learn more about the women's groups, click here.
Training & Special Events
LPC regularly sponsors training courses or weekend training seminars to challenge and assist folks in growing in their faith and living the Christian life. In past years, we have had training in parenting, worship and studying scripture. For upcoming training, click here to check out the Training & Special Events page.
Library
The church library has a wide range of literature and training tools for those looking to grow in their faith.
