We believe that the home and church must work together to teach them about the things of Christ. The Children's Ministry of LPC includes children from birth through 5th grade and is designed to assist parents in bringing up their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. We would love to have your child join us for our various programs!

Kids' Quest

Kids' Quest is a Wednesday night catechism and scripture memory club for children ages 2 through 4th grade.   Children enjoy music, games, and fun activities that encourage learning God’s truths!  Click here for more information.

Sunday Morning Curriculum

Using "Show Me Jesus", a biblically sound curriculum from Great Commission Publications, children ages 2 through 5th grade are encouraged to see God's redemptive plan of love and grace throughout the Old and New Testaments.

Preparing Children for Worship

Review the order of worship for this coming Sunday (click here to go to a page where you will find a quick link to this week's bulletin.)  The order of worship notes will be updated regularly and made available on the web page by Thursday of each week.

Before worship service, remember to take your child to the breadbox located on the Children's Worship Table just outside of the sanctuary. There will be an object inside the box that will help children connect with the morning message. The "mini message" inside the breadbox is meant to be a tool that can assist parents in helping children understand the main point of the sermon. Children's bulletins for non-readers are also located on the Children's Worship Table.

"The Great Rescue" VBS,  Resources for Home

Children who attended the Great Rescue Vacation Bible School program are be quick to agree that the music they sang and the stories they heard were highlights of their VBS day.  Many have asked about where the music and book can be purchased.  We would like to make information available that will help you locate the resources so that you can make them a part of your home library.  

Our daily Bible story lessons came from The Jesus Storybook Bible, written by Sally LLoyd-Jones' and illustrated by Jago.    We used its stories during our open gathering time and also during family tent time.  Sally Lloyd-Jones has done an excellent job of presenting the truths of scripture in story form so that children can understand its message.  What makes this book unique from most other Bible story books is its commitment to adhering to spiritual truth.  Rather than simply relaying messages that encourage good moral behavior,The Jesus Storybook Bible  focuses on our need to be rescued from sin and God's provision of a Savior.   While other books leave children with lessons on the necessity of being good boys and girls,  The Jesus Storybook Bible is all about Jesus.  Woven into its title are the words, "Every page whispers His name."   And that it does!  This book is written for children but people of all ages are moved by the way that Sally Lloyd-Jones has so beautifully written Bible stories in the language that even a child can understand..  Click here to go to a site where you can order  The Jesus Storybook Bible.
