Congregational Care

  Information about the Congregational Care Team and its ministries.

   It is exciting to see the Lord at work in our lives individually and as a church body. The upcoming health fair has a history which started when a single African American mother of 3 children came to the church for financial assistance. She participated in church activities and her children in the children’s programs and they touched the lives of many here at LPC. The Lord planted many seeds not only for this family, but also for this body. Members here became acquainted through this relationship with fellow believers at the New Bethel AME church. The young woman died suddenly and the children left the area to live with family, but the relationships developed with New Bethel continued. Last year this relationship lead to the first communitywide health fair co-sponsored by New Bethel AME and Lexington Presbyterian Churches held March 7, 2009 as a joint effort to reach the community and minister to people not only physically, but emotionally and spiritually as well. 

  This year the fair will be held Sat. March 6 from 9am to 1pm. There will be many activities everyone can enjoy. The current list of activities includes:
