Do you have to share all the beliefs of your church to be a part of the community?
No. To be a part of the informal fellowship of the church, all one needs is to be willing to be in relationship with others and they will be warmly welcomed in to our fellowship. To be be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, one does need to be born of the Spirit, confess that Christ is Lord and rest upon the grace of Christ alone for salvation. If one has a credible testimony as a follower of Christ, they are warmly welcome into membership.
Is your church involved with world missions?
LPC has a very involved missions program. For information about our involvement in missions, click here.
What does your church think about the arts and culture?
The Lordship of Christ implies that He is Lord of all... even the arts... maybe, especially the arts since it has to do with the expression of beauty and truth. Christ calls us to be godly stewards of all things and do all things to His glory. LPC affirms this and seeks to bring all things under the Lordship of Christ. To see some of our efforts to engage culture, check our community outreach at the Watershed.
How does your church care for and keep in touch with all the people in the congregation?
Caring for a congregation of 600 members can be a complicated logistical task. Our congregation has decided to create small shepherding communities within the larger flock to minister to more personal care for folks' needs but also challenge them to grow spiritually.
