Honoring Christ and Advancing His Kingdom Through Prayer

Debby Matthews on January 19, 2010

Prayer is primarily a wartime walkie-talkie for the mission of the church as it advances against the powers of darkness and unbelief…God has given us prayer as a wartime walkie-talkie so that we can call headquarters for everything we need as the kingdom of Christ advances in the world. Prayer gives us the significance of front-line forces, and gives God the glory of a limitless Provider.

LPC is organizing a 6-week prayer initiative beginning the week of February 1st and continuing through the week of March 8th. We will be praying for God to help us honor Him in all things, and powerfully advance His kingdom through the ministry of LPC to the community and the world.

We are looking to coordinate ‘pockets of prayer’ where couples and groups are meeting weekly within the 6-week period to pray. The desire to pray is so exciting because it is an obvious indicator that the Spirit is moving in mighty ways!

Stay tuned for more details in next week’s Beacon!
