Sunday Morning Education Classes

The one of the means of shepherding our folks at LPC is through our Sunday morning shepherding communities. A shepherding community is a sub-division in our congregation along an age & stage of life. They function as smaller communities within the larger church family. We run our classes in academic quarters and classes usually change each quarter. Please pick up a Sunday School brochure in the Narthex or at the Welcome Center to see current adult classes, topics and room locations. You can also download the brochure from a link at the bottom of this page. If you would like to know more about a particular shepherding community, look at the list below or contact Dave Bindewald, Associate Pastor.

QuarterLife

A Shepherding Ministry to Singles & Couples in the 20's & early 30's
The QuarterLife (20s and early 30s) years are filled with new responsibilities, significant decisions, and periods of loneliness. With these challenges also come challenges to faith commitments. “How does my faith relate to and inform these decisions?” “Does my faith address the stress and anxiety I am feeling because of these new problems?” Many QuarterLifers just don’t feel well equipped spiritually to succeed at all of the facets of life: debt, budgeting, networking, office politics, job boredom or stress, career development, maintaining old friendships, meeting new people and developing new relationships. Lexington Presbyterian Church (LPC) has also recognized a need to intentionally reach out to those in the QuarterLife years and has started a new shepherding and outreach ministry to do just that. Activities include a Sunday morning class, small groups and social events. Matt Michaud and Justin Lilesserve as the shepherding stewards of this group.
