Supported World Missionaries
"How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it written, 'How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news'.' Lexington Presbyterian Church (LPC) supports twenty-one missionaries or ministries in 13 different countries. LPC not only supports our missionaries financially, but also through prayer and on site support through our short-term mission trips. In some instances the family name and agency of the missionary are omitted for their protection.
Sally Dangler, Japan, Mission to the World (MTW)
Sally became a Christian at the age of 15. She first heard about the spiritual need in Japan while in college and went on a short-term mission trip there in the summer of 1982. While there she was impressed with the need for Christian outreach around the world. After teaching special education in the States for several years and another year spent in Japan as a short-term missionary, the call to career mission service became clear, and she joined Mission to the World’s Tokyo/ Chiba church-planting team in 1992. Japan remains one of the neediest nations in the world with less than one percent of its 126 million people professing to know Jesus as Savior and Lord. Over the last 15 years the team in Japan has seen the Lord establish five new churches and bring together 13 churches to form a new presbytery. Their goal is to see a reformed and covenantal church multiplication movement in Japan. Sally’s part in this work includes teaching evangelistic Bible studies and English classes, discipling women, training and overseeing short-term workers and two-week teams and helping with overall coordination for the work of the long-term team. Pray that multitudes in Japan may come to know the one true living God and worship Him. Click here to find out more about the Chiba Church Plant.
David Davis, Brazil, Equip MTW
David grew up in Lexington, SC., where he came to know the Lord at an early age. As a boy he enjoyed the farm, Scouts and designing projects, not knowing that God was preparing him for something different. He studied engineering at Clemson University and credits FCA, RUF and Clemson PCA with helping him grow spiritually. In 1991, David responded to God’s call instead of finishing a masters and returning to NASA. Since 1995 David has been in Ouro Fina, Minas Gerais, about 100 miles North of San Paulo, Brazil (map). Through MTW and Equip, he’s developing Christian foster homes and a vocational training for boys falling out of destructive families onto the streets. Most boys accept the Lord when they experience love, the gospel, and a stable home for the first time in their lives. That then opens the door to work with their family and neighbors. Some boys are back in their restored families and others have left the nest as productive citizens. The Hope and Life project has averaged 25 boys since 2000.

Joe & Bev Fitzpatrick, Puerto Rico, Mission to the World (MTW)
Joe and Bev met at new Life Presbyterian Church in Glenside, PA while he was studying for a master of divinity at Westminster Theological Seminary and she was working as a nurse in a Philadelphia hospital. Joe was preparing for teaching opportunities overseas after graduation and Bev had been on various short-term missions trips prior to meeting Joe, so when they married in 1995 they pursued missions together. In 1999, the couple joined the MTW Philippines team in Manila where Joe taught Old Testament courses to pastors and church leaders at Presbyterian Theological Seminary and Bev occasionally joined visiting medical teams in their outreaches in slum areas. Upon hearing about ministry needs in Puerto Rico, the homeland of Joe’s mother, the Lord opened the way for relocation in 2006. Joe has completed a doctor of ministry degree in pastoral counseling from Westminster Seminary and is teaching Old Testament and counseling in various seminaries. Joe and Bev are also involved with Briarwood Presbyterian Church’s International Leadership Development Program in San Juan, which trains missionaries in conjunction with a campus ministry and church-planting work. Children: Joey (7/19/96), Anna (9/24/98), Justin (6/9/01).
Jubilee Memorial Bible College, India
The Open Bible is central to the life and ministry of the Jubilee Memorial Bible College. The Bible is the inspired, inerrant and infallible Word of God and it is the primary authority in deciding and directing the philosophy and practice of training at Jubilee. The Cross signifies the completed work of Jesus Christ for the redemption and salvation of the fallen human race; Jubilee trains men and women who will unashamedly preach ‘Christ and Him crucified.’ The Folded Hands stand for the prayer of faith; we look to God in faith for all our needs. The Heads of Grain symbolize our commitment to the Great Commission of the Lord Jesus Christ – to evangelize and make disciples. The Motto of the College, “In His steps” (1 Pet. 2:21), declares our desire to have an authentic life of Christian discipleship. Be sure to visit their web site by going here.

Marc & Aline Mailloux, French People, Mission to the World (MTW)
Since August of 1998, Marc and Aline have been based in Broward county where there are as many as ½ million French-speakers. These include Haitians, Quebecois (both seasonal and permanent residents), and over 30,000 continental French. Outreach to these groups has involved daily evangelical messages over Radio Floride, a French Canadian station which broadcasts (in French) six months of the year (November-April). The listeners include virtually all the Quebecois “snow birds” who winter in S. Florida, but also thousands of Haitians and other “Francophiles” desperate to listen to anything in their native language. Another part of the ministry in the Sunshine State is teaching at “I.B.T.F.” (L’Institut Biblique et Théologique de la Floride), a Haitian Bible school started by Rev. Jean Petit in 1997 for the badly needed theological training of S. Florida’s thousands of Haitian believers and church leaders and for which Marc also serves as a secretary for public relations. For leisure activity, Marc is a member of one of the three S. Florida “pétanque” clubs, whose members are mostly continental French. To get the latest on Marc's ministry, click here.
Wayne & Amy Newsome, Japan, Mission to the World (MTW)
Wayne is originally from Chattanooga, TN, and Amy is from Enterprise, AL. After serving with MTW in Japan since 1990, the Newsomes are more encouraged than ever before about what God is doing. Their team has been involved in planting four churches and is moving into a new phase of ministry. With “Equipping Japanese to Reach the World” as the motto, the Nagoya Church-planting Team’s new vision encompasses a variety of ministries. The Newsomes work to expand church-planting ministries by partnering with Japanese co-workers to target new locations for new church plants. The team is also involved in beginning a seminary to enable Japanese to identify their gifts and receive training for ministry. The International Christian Academy of Nagoya, which the team started in 1999, meets the educational needs of many children in central Japan. Team members and Japanese co-workers are preparing for a counseling ministry with a desire to help local churches develop lay counseling programs to serve and help their communities. And with 50,000 university students in the area, the student ministry continues to be a high priority for the team. The Powlisons began serving on the foreign mission field in 1984 and are currently serving in Peru. They are part of the Hinterland Team, which Keith supervises from their base of operations in Cusco. This team focuses on several relatively unreached people groups in the Andean region of South America. The Quechuas, just one of these groups, are estimated to number over 15 million and are spread out over parts of five Latin American countries. The Powlisons work directly with the Cusco Quechuas. Along with their team members, they also minister among eight more Quechua groups. Please pray for the Powlisons as they enter into many challenging areas to train and establish national workers in these groups. Contact them at Kppowlison@mac.com about ministry possibilities with medical teams, construction teams, or other short-term opportunities. If you think that ministry and adventure are mutually exclusive, look into MTW’s Hinterland teams! Powlison Web site.

Les and Carolyn Thompson, Logoi Ministries
God has given us an awesome job: help national pastors become effective ministers of the Gospel. You see, the majority of pastors in Latin America are self-taught, wonderfully capable people in earnest need of practical, on-the-job Bible training and help. That's where we come in. When we do our job, local pastors are equipped to lead their congregations to become vital, growing bodies of believers impacting their communities with the love and truth of Jesus Christ. I believe this is one of the most effective ways possible of "making disciples of all nations" (Matt. 28:19). Visit their web site here.
Wah-Rang & So Young, Asia, Pioneers

Adeline Wallace, Ukraine, Mission to the World (MTW)
Adeline grew up in a Christian home and received the gift of faith in Jesus at a Bible club held at her local elementary school. She grew as a Christian and became interested in missions during her teen years at camp. Adeline graduated from nursing school in 1983 and worked in intensive care nursing for 17 years. In 1991, Adeline received her certificate in biblical studies from Columbia International University. She began working with Child Evangelism Fellowship in 1993, hosting a Bible club in her home. Short-term experiences in Alaska and Uganda also strengthened her desire to be involved in missions. Gratitude that someone shared the gospel with her and that others helped her grow as a Christian is the foundation of her call to missions. Adeline serves on the MTW Ukraine church-planting team. She lives in Belgorod, a city of 50,000, where she assists the local church plant and medical clinic in evangelism and discipleship-the same avenues of ministry that touched her life.
