What is Palm Sunday?

Palm Sunday celebrates Jesus's triumphant arrival in Jerusalem for the Jewish holiday of Passover. The crowd who cried, "Hosanna!" did not understand that he came not as a military hero, but as a humble king ready to save them from sin and the curse of death.

What is Maundy Thursday?

At this service, we remember the last evening Jesus shared with his disciples. The word "Maundy" comes from the Latin phrase, "mandated novum," which refers to the new commandment which Jesus gave to the disciples: "that you love one another" (John 13:34). This service is centered on those words and the significance of the Last Supper.

What is Good Friday?

Good Friday marks the crucifixion and sacrificial death of Jesus. During this service, we remember that Jesus willingly suffered and died to make possible a new life for sinners like us. We'll read the story of the last events and sayings of Jesus as he was led to his death, as well as reflect on how this event grants us full forgiveness of our sins, peace with God, and the hope of resurrection.

Join us and six of other area churches at the Icehouse Amphitheater for this joint community-wide service!

What is Easter Sunday?

Easter is the celebration of Jesus's resurrection from the dead! Three days after he was crucified, died, and was buried, he rose from the dead, all in fulfillment of God's plan and promise to save his people. By doing this, Jesus conquered death, saved us from sin, and guaranteed eternal life for us.
